We want your input. Opportunity to comment on a plan for the social, economic and spatial integration between Nkqubela and Robertson Town Centre. 

Langeberg Municipality, in partnership with Department of National Treasury, recently appointed Built Environment Partnership (BEP) for the provision of professional services for Precinct Planning required to support the implementation of the Neighbourhood Development Programme (NDP) in Langeberg Municipality.

The Western Cape Department of Human Settlements, together with the Langeberg Municipalities, will embark on a Housing Demand Database Verification and Registration Drive on the weekend of the 26th & 27th October. Citizens who need to register for the first time, or update their details, on the Housing Demand Database is encouraged to visit one of the venues over the coming weekend.

The Load shedding status can change at any time, we urge residents to use the following steps to determine when load shedding may occur in their area.

STEP 1. Determine the stage of load shedding, by frequently visiting the Eskom website:

      3   - Ashton, Bonnievale, Montagu

      10 - McGregor

      16 - Robertson  


Have a look at this app. It notifies you of load shedding that will take place and has schedules for most of SA. 


Please make 100% sure that you choose the correct town, in the correct Province, in the correct Municipal area or look at you block number. 

There is a possibility that there are for instance more than one Robertson in South Africa.

Langeberg Municipality recently appointed Rumboll and Partners to submit a Feasibility Report regarding the Future Development of Portion of Erf 2 Robertson and Portion 22 of the Farm Over-Het-Roodezand No 112, also known as the Bullida Gronde.

The purpose of this appointment is to give guidance to the Langeberg Municipality on the possible future utilization of an undeveloped portion of municipal land identified in the SDF, take into account all possible aspects, including, but not limited to socio-economic models, town planning matters, environmental considerations, geotechnical aspects, etc.

Secondly, the purpose is also to draft a report that will contextualise the future development, create a vision, and furthermore present development options to consider for the specific property.  It is envisaged that this development will have a sustainable socio-economic impact in Langeberg Municipality. Moreover, it is also the Municipality’s broad goal that such a development will facilitate economic growth and job-creation. The purpose is therefor to provide more detail in respect of the proposal for as presented in the municipal Spatial Development Framework.

The project enters now its final phase whereby the public can comment on the Draft Proposal as well as an Open Day information session that will be held. During the Open Day, the Service Provider will be available to answer any questions from Interested and Affected Parties.
