FRIENDLY REMINDER: KEEP YOUR MUNICIPAL ACCOUNT UP TO DATE
Your municipal account payments help us maintain essential services, improve infrastructure, and build a stronger community for everyone. We encourage all account holders to pay their accounts by the due date shown on their municipal statement, which is generally the 15th of each month.
If your account is in arrears, please don't wait for service interruptions. The Municipality is committed to assisting residents and encourages customers to contact us to make suitable payment arrangements.
Pre-paid Electricity Customers
Please note that, in terms of the Municipality's Credit Control and Debt Collection Policy, a portion of your pre-paid electricity purchase may be allocated towards outstanding municipal debt when your account is in arrears.
How arrears affect your pre-paid electricity purchases:

If no payment arrangement is in place, arrears may be recovered directly from electricity purchases, subject to the policy provisions.
Conventional Electricity Customers
Where accounts remain unpaid, and no arrangement has been made, notices may be issued advising customers of possible service disconnection. Residents are strongly encouraged to contact the Municipality before this stage to avoid any inconvenience.
